Rossanne began her career by exploring life through black and white photography, as can be seen in her early documentary style imagery. What has developed is a photographic style of a story telling nature, creating subtle and evocative scenescapes, allowing the observer to be transported to moments part of their own time, space and memory. Continuing her exploration into journey, iconic imagery and memory, Rossanne uses 35mm and Polaroid SX-70 films, as well as print press and hand painting techniques to intimately capture her subjects.

That Rossanne's photographic vision is not easily defined in terms of a singular style can be seen throughout this collection. She uses her camera as a tool for experimentation and as a means of expressing her fascination with the process of making images.
